Well, for starters, I've made the mistake of announcing to my English class my deep commitment to writing. I practically screamed that I was writing a story that had the potential to get published - though I don't think many of them believe me on that- and have been bombarded with questions ever since. For example, "How many pages is it today?" (By the way, 145. =P), "What's the title?" (For the last time, the title is 'the Other Side of Miago Well' you idiots!!!!!), "Is Miago Well a real place?" (What the hell? NO!!!! Miago Well is a place I came up with all on my own. Thank you for the insult to my intelligence. =____=) and "What's the genre?" (At the moment, I'm leaning towards fiction....).
And to top it all off, my English teacher is requesting I name a character, no matter how small, Tory (or Tori =/). And I can't very well deny him that, seeing as he supplied me with both notebooks that the story is currently residing in, and two more which I desperately needed for school. Ugh. Uninspired characters disturb me. x_X Though I am thinking about a little baby girl that I could name Tori....
So, I just finished Eclipse, by Stephenie Meyer, this morning, and I have to say...
I ABSOLUTELY AND UTTERLY HATE BELLA SWAN WITH A FIERY PASSION THAT BURNS MY THROAT AND THREATENS HOMICIDE, EITHER TO HER OR STEPHENIE MEYER!!!!
GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Such an infuriating character, I've never before had the displeasure of being captivated by before! Manipulative, weak, clumsy, obsessive.... The list goes on forever. She has no redeeming qualities, and her only virtue is her frickin' virginity, which she is constantly trying to lose to Edward!
Poor Edward. Poor Jacob. Both deserve to fell in love with someone so much better, who isn't constantly using them, and throwing herself in to desperate pits of depression whenever neither is around. My god, how could such a talented writer as Stephenie Meyer conceive such a selfish, pitiful, whiney, HORRIBLE girl, even is it is simply her imagination.
I don't know who I hate more; Stephenie Meyer, for throwing her talent to the hands of such a vomit inducing main character; Bella, for giving me delightful dreams of chasing after her with a blow torch, fictional or not; or me, for continuing to be mesmerized by the Twilight series, despite my feelings towards it.
Damn, I'm such a hypocrite! *walks off to kick little brother*
And, on top of ALL this, I have to apply to a billion different high schools, because the one I want to go to is hinting rather viciously that it'll be impossible to get in. But I HAVE to get in, or risk looking for a completely new set of friends, because I've made it a habit not to socialize with anyone near my neighborhood.
Well, rant over. For now.

*does the cabbage patch* Oh yeah, mn hmm. *turns to see you watching* AHHHHHHHHHH!!!! *grabs towel* What are you doing in my computer?!?!?!
Well, I guess this is where I explain my embarrassing dance earlier. =*
Okay, well I've been working on this story, called The Other Side of Miago Well that originally was never expected to go over 30 or so pages....
HA!!!!
It just hit it's 81st page today!!! Whoot! And by a very vague, unsciency process, it's expected to reach 105 pages when I'm finished, which I hope is to be somewhere in MArch or April, Mid May at the very latest. (This includes editing, typing, additons, etc.) YAHOOOOO!!!!
And for those of you... -12 readers, if you wish to read something that's angsty, or ranting on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on... go to vinesandsuch.blogspot.com.
Claire, out.

Friends
What is a friend to me? Someone who agrees with everything I say, is polite every second of the day, and respects every conceivable boundary?
No. My definition of a best friend is someone who knows how to get mad at me, punch me in the shoulder, and is right up in my face whenever I don't want them to be.
I have a friend like that. My mom thinks that she couldn't possibly be my best friend I'll ever have, because she and I are constantly fueding. But despite that, after we smack the heck out of eachother we're laughing. I've rarely left in a huff, with my nose in the air, and anger in my eyes. Our interests go far beyond favorite TV shows, and what we're going to wear tomorrow.
So even though she infuriates me to every thinkable end, she's always there, and will be even when I think she's not.
I guess this is sappy to you, but it's my thoughts for the day that I'm just not brave enough to say in the real world.

Disappointment
It's december, but it doesn't feel like it.
My mom is using the fake tree, and my dad isn't even getting one. So no pine tree smell. This year is going to be my first non-Californian Christmas, and I miss it already. But I guess that's because I'm scared of change. No matter how much it happens to me, I can't seem to change that. The house is bland and undecorated. Overall, I don't like how this year is ending, even though it's only Dec. 4.
I think kids outgrow Christmas.
It's sad, and I don't want it to happen to me.

...
So... I have to write a blog? I guess I'll just throw out some random stuff about what's happening in my life right now.
Well, I wrote several short stories recently:
Gaara's Shadow
Shadow of a Demon
Stop the World, I Wanna Get Off
Shikamaru's Sister
I'm working on two right now:
The Secret Files of the Falcon (doing this with Attica Fern)
An unnamed one with a Beauty and the Beast sort of plot
I've been doing alot of sketching recently, mostly of anime characters. =]
Volleyball started this month, and it's been alot of fun, with several new people to give weird nicknames to. I'm selling chocolate for school, and sold 9 bars on my first day. WHOOT!!!
We won our softball game in P.E. today, after losing terribly yesterday. Attica and I cheered like maniacs both days in the locker room, must to the other team's distaste. XP
Here's a link to Attica Fern's blog, my bestest friend in the whole wide world: http://vines andsuch.blogspot.com
Well, there you have, all that I feel comfortable sharing over the internet. Buh bye!
