Well, for starters, I've made the mistake of announcing to my English class my deep commitment to writing. I practically screamed that I was writing a story that had the potential to get published - though I don't think many of them believe me on that- and have been bombarded with questions ever since. For example, "How many pages is it today?" (By the way, 145. =P), "What's the title?" (For the last time, the title is 'the Other Side of Miago Well' you idiots!!!!!), "Is Miago Well a real place?" (What the hell? NO!!!! Miago Well is a place I came up with all on my own. Thank you for the insult to my intelligence. =____=) and "What's the genre?" (At the moment, I'm leaning towards fiction....).
And to top it all off, my English teacher is requesting I name a character, no matter how small, Tory (or Tori =/). And I can't very well deny him that, seeing as he supplied me with both notebooks that the story is currently residing in, and two more which I desperately needed for school. Ugh. Uninspired characters disturb me. x_X Though I am thinking about a little baby girl that I could name Tori....
So, I just finished Eclipse, by Stephenie Meyer, this morning, and I have to say...
I ABSOLUTELY AND UTTERLY HATE BELLA SWAN WITH A FIERY PASSION THAT BURNS MY THROAT AND THREATENS HOMICIDE, EITHER TO HER OR STEPHENIE MEYER!!!!
GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Such an infuriating character, I've never before had the displeasure of being captivated by before! Manipulative, weak, clumsy, obsessive.... The list goes on forever. She has no redeeming qualities, and her only virtue is her frickin' virginity, which she is constantly trying to lose to Edward!
Poor Edward. Poor Jacob. Both deserve to fell in love with someone so much better, who isn't constantly using them, and throwing herself in to desperate pits of depression whenever neither is around. My god, how could such a talented writer as Stephenie Meyer conceive such a selfish, pitiful, whiney, HORRIBLE girl, even is it is simply her imagination.
I don't know who I hate more; Stephenie Meyer, for throwing her talent to the hands of such a vomit inducing main character; Bella, for giving me delightful dreams of chasing after her with a blow torch, fictional or not; or me, for continuing to be mesmerized by the Twilight series, despite my feelings towards it.
Damn, I'm such a hypocrite! *walks off to kick little brother*
And, on top of ALL this, I have to apply to a billion different high schools, because the one I want to go to is hinting rather viciously that it'll be impossible to get in. But I HAVE to get in, or risk looking for a completely new set of friends, because I've made it a habit not to socialize with anyone near my neighborhood.
Well, rant over. For now.

Twilight = a terrible blight on the literary community of the world.
Also, does the name Owlreader ring a bell?
